The pizzas are the one and only reason that every diner needs to justify his or her indulgence at a Giovanni’s Pizza place. These are among the best-tasting pizzas in Texas – and that’s saying something considering that Texas has its fair share of iconic dishes including pizzas, barbecues and chilies. The Giovanni’s pizzas combine Italian culinary traditions and American contemporary favorites so these are sure to satisfy the palate of Americans and non-Americans alike.

There are several pizza varieties to choose from at Giovanni’s Pizza, too. The specialty pizzas may be the most expensive on the menu but these are arguably the best, thanks to the tasty crust and rich toppings. The Supreme, for example, has pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground beef, and Canadian bacon for its meats as well as mushrooms, green peppers, black and green olives, and onions.

The Meat Lovers is an all-meat delight with Italian sausage, pepperoni, beef, and Canadian bacon while the classic Margherita delights the vegetarians with its toppings of Roma tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella, and marinara sauce.  The Veggie pizza is just as it sounds – it’s filled with a tasty medley of mushrooms, onions, Roma tomatoes, and black and green olives.

The Buffalo Chicken is also a favorite for meat lovers with its grilled buffalo chicken topping coupled with generous smatterings of breakfast bacon, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, and homemade ranch dressing.  We like to think of it as a complete meal in every slice, whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The Ranch Hand is just as tempting with its barbecue sauce instead of the usual tomato-based sauce, which is topped with your choice of beef or chicken, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, jalapeños, and onions.  The Chicken Alfredo is the iconic dish in pizza form with its chicken, mushrooms, and spinach with the pizzeria’s zesty Alfredo sauce.  The Work Out Pro is a favorite among fitness enthusiasts, thanks to its relatively low-calorie combo of a thin crust topped with tomatoes, grilled chicken, black and green olives, onions, and green peppers.

While waiting for your pizza orders, you can dip your hands into the appetizers and work up an appetite. We recommend the Appetizer Trio, which has four rich mozzarella sticks, cheese bread, and six wings with your choice of either hot or barbecue flavors and served with ranch and marinara sauces.  There are also garlic sticks, mozzarella sticks, and cheese bread in single orders, which are usually served with marinara sauce for dipping.

Do you still have room for more delicious treats? Be sure to order the salads, which are served with your choice of either Italian or ranch dressing. The salad varieties include the House Salad, the Side Salad, and the Gio Salad as well as the bestselling Garden Salad with green peppers and onions.

The pasta selections include Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna, Spaghetti or Penne, and Calzones in several versions including Supreme, Veggie, and Original.  These are just as filling as the pizzas so we recommend sharing them with your family and friends.  There are also chicken wings, cinnamon twists with a side of icing, and even a dessert pizza because it’s a pizzeria, after all.

Giovanni’s Pizza has had its share of ups and downs in most areas of its operations including its menu, venue and service. But with its dedication to excellence in its niche, the restaurant has found its footing so much so that it continues to earn praises from its customers for its food and drinks, casual ambiance, and fast service, even for its clean facilities.

Keep in mind that Giovanni’s Pizza doesn’t serve alcoholic drinks in its premises so you may want to order takeout instead, in case you want beer with your pizza. With families and kids in the pizzeria, however, the no-alcohol policy works in their favor.
