About Morton’s Steakhouse
Morton’s Steakhouse prices are reasonable especially when the world-class quality of their steak dishes are considered. The chain of more than 70 steakhouses in the United States and abroad has earned its reputation as being among the best since its establishment more than 30 years ago.
In 1978, Arnie Morton and Klaus Fritsch opened the first Morton’s, The Steakhouse in Chicago, Illinois particularly in Newberry Plaza. It is still in operation to this day.
In December 2011, Tilman Fertitta announced the acquisition of all Morton’s stocks by Landry’s, Inc. thus resulting in it complete ownership. By 2012, Landry’s completed its takeover and transferred the Morton’s headquarters to Houston, Texas.
