History of Joe’s Crab Shack

Joe’s Crab Shack began in 1991 when the first branch opened in Houston, Texas. The business had begun to expand almost immediately after and by 2006 was acquired by J.H. Whitney & Company. Today there are now 138 different locations in 35 states, with most restaurants placed by the beach to further elaborate the beach and seafood theme of Joe’s Crab Shack.
