If you want to eat out in a comfortable, family-friendly restaurant with a wide range of familiar food options, you can certainly do a lot worse than visit Ruby Tuesday. Here you can find lots of options in the menu, including chicken, pasta, burgers, and plenty of salads.
So, what should you order here? Of course, the best rule is that you should order what you want. It’s your money, and your tummy. If you’re a regular visitor to Ruby Tuesday, you can always just order your own favorites.
But if you’re a newbie or you’re trying to branch out and try something new, we recommend the following menu items here at Ruby Tuesday:
Hot Mess Brisket Burger
This is a lot different than your regular burger. First off, it doesn’t even have a top bun. It’s actually an open-faced sandwich, but forget about eating this with your hands. You’ll have a mess—in fact, it’s already a mess just at first glance. But it’s a glorious mess.
What you have here starts with the thick grilled Texas toast. Then you have the great toppings along with the beef patty. They include sliced brisket, along with onions grilled to a crisp, smoked gouda cheese, and melted American cheese.
Then they drizzle the whole mess with some barbecue sauce, their signature sauce, and even some house-made ranch dressing. This is one meal that goes great when you’re hungry!
Ultimate Crispy Chicken Sandwich
With so many different chicken sandwiches here, which one should you get? Ask a lot of Ruby Tuesday fans, and many will recommend this particular sandwich. It’s so good that it might even convince you that chicken patties are better than beef patties.
Here they start with a honey-garlic sauce that’s savory and nicely sweet, to glaze the crispy chicken cutlet. Then they put in the toppings, which include tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles, some honey mustard, and cheddar cheese queso. Finally, they also put in some hardwood-smoked bacon strips on top.
With so many flavors combining for an ultimately fantastic taste, this chicken sandwich is as far from a simple chicken sandwich as you can get.
Rib Eye Steak
As any steak fan will tell you, the flavor of the steak is mainly due to the fattiness of the meat. And for that fatty steak you’re looking for, you want the Rib Eye. The marbling of the steak is simply gorgeous, and the taste is just marvelous. Just mention that you want the steak a bit on the rare side, to make sure you’re getting all that fatty goodness.
Go for medium rare and you’re good to go. Every bite is terrific, with meat exploding with the juiciness each time.
Hickory Bourbon Salmon
You might want to try this if you want something “healthy”, as it’s salmon after all. But unlike other “healthy” food items, this salmon dish is delicious. The meat is so tender that the meat almost breaks apart on its own once you carefully stick the fork into the filet.
The glaze is somewhat smoky, and a bit on the sweet side. You’ll also get that subtle sense of heat, simmering gently under that smoky sweetness. That heat sneaks in at the last to finish each bite, and you often can’t help but just close your eyes and savor the flavor.
Crispy Chicken Mac ‘N Cheese
You might think that a regular mac ‘n cheese tastes the same regardless of where you order it. But that’s not really true. Sometimes you get a lackluster mac and cheese. And in other restaurants, such as Ruby Tuesday, the mac and cheese is just exceptional.
What makes the mac and cheese here special is not just the rich macaroni and cheese. Here, they also top the dish with some strips of crispy chicken cutlet, along with some grated parmesan, melted mozzarella, and marinara. Basically, this is a mac and cheese topped by a yummy chicken parmigiana!
