Ted Turner, an environmentalist and philanthropist founded the first Ted’s Montana Grill in 2002. Turner wanted to share his loved for Big Sky Country and its custom for serving hearty and healthy meals. With the help of restaurateur George McKerrow Jr., they established their first restaurant in Columbus, Ohio with a goal to stop the extinction of American bison.
