The Rock and Brews prices will not send your pockets into a deep dive, thanks to the chain’s commitment to providing its guests with reasonable prices on its comfort foods and craft beers menu. Many diners say that the prices are just what you can expect from casual dining restaurants with a dedicated waiter service.

The chain’s rise to the top in its niche can be attributed to several things that continue to attract guests, most of whom can be safely said to be repeat customers.  First, the restaurants are designed to provide their guests with both public and private dining areas, even an all-season glass conservatory that brings the outdoors to the indoors (i.e., St. Louis location). Al fresco dining, perhaps with a fire pit and picnic tables, is then possible, not to mention that the kids’ play area keeps the children entertained while waiting for the orders.

Second, first-time guests are surprised by the toned-down and tasteful décor. There are no garish displays of rock memorabilia guests will have no doubt that among the chain’s founders are rock gods, thanks to the blown-up album covers and concert posters on one wall. The open plan layout also allows for versatile arrangements of tables for larger groups, such as those who pop in after major games from nearby sports arenas.

Third, the restaurants are all 100% dog-friendly. There’s even a separate menu for the pets; the food is served in dog bowls.

Fourth, the music system with its speakers placed around the restaurant prevents the formation of music hotspots. You will still be able to maintain conversations in a normal voice, a plus indeed. You can also choose from more than 40,000 songs in the music library.

Fifth, the beer menu is as impressive as the KISS rock record. In many locations, there’s a bar dedicated exclusively to the local draft beers, which can number as many as 16 taps. You can order sample 3-ounce pours or enjoy a pint.

Sixth, the foods on the menu are surprisingly good! This isn’t such a surprise considering that the chain only uses fresh and natural ingredients sourced as locally as possible. Almost every item on the menu is made in each restaurant’s kitchen so there’s the sense of freshness in every bite – and the microwave is only used for melting butter so reheated food isn’t an option here.

The chicken wings are among the largest we have seen in many restaurants, too. These are hand-breaded, deep-fried and sauced before being served with cilantro. You can choose to have it spicy and really spicy – look at the number of flaming guitars.

The most popular items on the menu, aside from the chicken wings, are the artisan pizzas, huge burgers, hearty Bavarian pretzels, and the healthy salads.  There’s even a children’s menu as well as fun activities for the kids, such as coloring templates.
