About Lemonade Restaurant

Here, diners are assured that their foods and drinks have a fresh and refreshing quality to them so getting the best value for the money is always possible. The Lemonade Restaurant prices are relatively reasonable considering the filling and flavorful quality of the salads, sandwiches and braised meats, too.

History

Alan Jackson, an accomplished chef, opened the first Lemonade Restaurant in West Hollywood in 2008. An accomplished chef, he left behind the upscale dining scene so that he can create his own dishes. He has a relaxed and confident approach to contemporary food, a fact that reflects in his dishes and desserts. He wanted to create fine food but prepared in a fast manner without compromising on quality.

In 2009, Jackson was joined by Ian Olsen as his business partner. Together, the duo expanded Lemonade Restaurant’s area of coverage. The chain has 28 restaurants in Los Angeles, California as well as in San Diego, Orange County, and the Bay Area.

What They’re Famous For

The Lemonade Restaurant chain is known for its healthy green salads, filling sandwiches, and hearty braised meats as well as its sumptuous desserts. Of course, its range of lemonades is at the heart of the chain for good reasons including their cold, refreshing and bright quality.

Why Eat Here

The Lemonade Restaurant has several categories on the menu including salads, sandwiches, side dishes and hot dishes. The salad options are among the most interesting, if not the most diverse, we have seen so far. The ingredients are aplenty, too, so there will always be flavorful combinations that can be made.

The Kale and Farro salad, for example, is a satisfying combination of green apples, cauliflower rice, and parmesan with the perfect amount of lemon vinaigrette. The Tuscan Kale and Butternut Squash salad features contrasting textures and tastes from the red grapes, Brussels sprouts, white corn and almonds with red wine oregano vinaigrette. The Turkey BLT Panzanella has crunchy bacon bits with tomatoes, avocado, and ciabatta croutons with arugula vinaigrette.

Most of the salads are suitable for vegetarians, as well as gluten-free so people with gluten allergies can enjoy them. These include the Chef’s Favorite with avocado, cherry tomatoes, and pine nuts; the Soba Noodles and Kimchi Vegetables with creamy sesame vinaigrette. Other choices include the Shaved Brussels and Dates, Orecchiette Pasta and Cherry Tomatoes, and Pineapple Chicken and Green Beans.

The Bowls are more filling with their combinations of meat and vegetables in a bowl. The Backyard BBQ Brisket has generous portions of barbecue beef brisket, butternut squash, and charred corn with a sautéed kale topping.

The Mango Chicken Bowl is a dish inspired by tropical climates with its oven-roasted mango chicken mixed with seasonal vegetables and sautéed kale served over a bed of seasoned rice. There are also the Reel Classic (ahi tuna, avocado and tangerine), Spicy Fin (ahi tuna, edamame, and tobiko), and Soba Thai Breaker (salmon poke with sweet soy ginger flavor served with soba noodles and peanut sauce).

The sandwiches are yet another reason to dine at your nearest Lemonade Restaurant. These can be eaten on the go although many prefer to eat them in the restaurant to enjoy their great flavors and textures.

These include the Jammin’ Grilled Cheese with Apple Bacon Jam; the Not So Little Italy with dried salami, provolone, and pepperoncinis; and the Herb Grilled Chicken with basil pesto aioli, mozzarella and arugula. We suggest the Classic Grilled Cheese because of the interesting flavor from the aged cheddar cheese.

The Braises category is just as popular especially among meat lovers. The meats have been perfectly cooked and their sauces perfectly seasoned so these are always a joy to eat. There’s the Red Miso Beef Short Rib, a gluten-free dish that also happens to be a chef’s favorite, and the Thai Chicken Meatballs in slightly spicy green curry sauce.

The Hot Portions are best for people who want something hot and comforting. The White Truffle Mac ‘N Cheese is a chef’s favorite because of its creamy quality while the Southwest Vegetable Chili is satisfying with every bite with its squash, zucchini, red beans, and tomatoes ingredients.  Add one of the Hot Veggies, such as the Harissa Roasted Cauliflower or the Creamy Mashed Potatoes, and you have a complete meal.

Finish off your meal with a decadent dessert! There’s the vegan S’mores Brownie, the Macarons in raspberry, pistachio, and caramel flavors, and the cookies (chocolate chips and peanut caramel brittle), and coconut layer cake.

Don’t forget to enjoy the lemonades – and there are plenty of choices. The Skinny Lemonade T’s include the Blood Orange with Blue Butterfly Flower Tea and the Cucumber Mint with Red Hibiscus Flower Tea. There are FROZade like the Dragon Fruit Pink Lemonade and Black Cherry Infused Pink Lemonade.
