History of J. Alexander’s

J. Alexander’s traces as far back as 1971 with the launch of the Volunteer Capital Corporation, which was spear-headed by businessmen John Neff Jr., Earl Beasley Jr. and Jack C. Massey. The corporation opened its own restaurant, the very first J. Alexander’s, in 1991 in Nashville, Tennessee. The restaurants have proven a success, with their philosophy of providing high quality service and food without overcharging their customers, and today there are more than 30 locations spread across the country. In 2012, the restaurant was then acquired by Fidelity National Financial and this has been their parent company ever since.

What’s J. Alexander’s Famous For?

High-end casual dining can cost a lot of money. Most people expect to spend anywhere between $90 and $100 for a good night at a casual dining restaurant, especially when on a romantic date with someone or when going out with the family. However, J. Alexander prices stand out because their own signature dishes cost much less, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their food and services. When it comes to their food, the restaurant is famous for their signature Chicago Ribeye and Slow Roasted Prime Rib. J. Alexander’s is also frequented because of their deconstructed sundae, which allows customers to build their own sundae dessert.

Why Eat at J. Alexander’s

If you’re looking for a very elegant place to wine and dine then there is no other restaurant that can top J. Alexander’s. Everything from the design of the seats to the building’s décor and how well prepared the food is just screams high class. However, despite looking like a restaurant for millionaires you’d be surprised to discover that the prices are fairly affordable, making it ideal for romantic dates, birthday nights, family outings and more. J. Alexander’s was built with the best quality service and food in mind and it shows.
