History of Houston’s

Houston’s initially launched in 1977 and was founded by George Biel and his two partners, Vic Branstetter and Joe Ledbetter. Both partners eventually sold their shares, leaving Biel as the sole owner of the restaurants and he is now the CEO of the entire chain. The restaurants fall under Biel’s Hillstone Restaurant Group, which also owns Hillstone, Palm Beach Grill, and White House Tavern among many others. Today there are over 19 Houston’s in 10 different states and each one is often recognized as a top-tier restaurant in their respective city or town.
