History of Houlihan’s

Founders Paul Robinson and Joe Gilbert met in 1961 and over the years decided to merge their businesses together and they became loyal partners. They later acquired the old store building that people kept on referring to as “Tom Houlihan’s” place, since Houlihan was the last owner of the building. Instead of coming up with a new name for their restaurant business, the duo decided to go with “Houlihan’s Old Place” and opened its doors for the first time in 1972. The business has since expanded and there are now over 84 locations spread across 18 different states, with many of them franchises and others owned by Houlihan’s Restaurants Inc.

Houlihan’s is famous for their wood-grilled steaks, flatbread pizza and the restaurant’s exquisite selection of the best wine and liquor.
