About Hardee’s / Carl’s Jr.

Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. began as separate entities on opposite sides of the United States.

Carl Karcher opened the first founded Carl’s Drive-in Barbecue as a hot dog stand in 1941 in Los Angeles, California.
