History

In 1992, Mike Conner opened the first Chop House with the assistance of your family and friends. His main goal: To provide diners with a superior dining experience that combine the benefits of a guest-centered service and a wide range of delicious food served in generous portions.  Today, the chain has 12 restaurants in four states.

What It’s Famous For

The Chop House is one of the best places for premium, aged, and seasoned steaks and chops cooked to perfection – juicy, succulent and so tender that it melts in your mouth while still giving a bite. Each cut of corn-fed Midwestern beef has been grilled in the chain’s Montague ovens, which seals in the natural flavors and sears the meat, too.

The chain is also famous for its delicious seafood dishes, giant homemade onion rings, and sweet potatoes topped with brown sugar cinnamon butter.

Why Eat Here

Your first observation will likely be the warm hospitality and knowledgeable approach of the servers when waiting on tables. You will be given with excellent recommendations from the menu, as well as be informed about the specials and options in a fairly enthusiastic manner. Your dining experience will indeed be better for it!

Of course, the food and drinks are delicious and, thus, worth every penny paid for them. You will love the raspberry Collins, shrimp cocktails, vodka dirty martini, and Smoked Plank Black Cherry Old Fashioned, among other cocktails. You can take advantage of the happy hour specials, too (4 P.M. to 7 P.M. including on weekends).

Regardless of your choice in meats, you will find them to be among the juiciest, most succulent, and most delicious cuts, thanks to the special seasonings. You should add sides like the grilled asparagus, Parmesan truffle fries, and sweet potatoes. You also have the opportunity to sample the seafood dishes, such as the Chilean Sea Bass.

As for the desserts, your choices include Crème Brulee with Tahitian vanilla bean and Belgian Chocolate Lava Cake. You can get a complimentary chocolate cake on your birthday, too.
