History

Bonefish Grills is a relative newcomer in the restaurant industry. Founded on 15 January 2000, Tim Curci and Chris Parker opened their first restaurant in St. Petersburg, Florida. On 4 October 2001, Bloomin’ Brands purchased the chain that, at the time, only consisted of three locations. Such was its rapid growth under new management that by 2006, there were 100 restaurants. As of 31 December 2011, the chain had 151 corporate-owned locations and 7 franchised restaurants in 28 states.

What They’re Famous For

Bonefish Grills are most famous for their Bang Bang shrimp, an appetizer made of succulent shrimp with a generous dose of delicious creamy spicy sauce, as well as for the wide variety of grilled fishes. Keep in mind that the restaurants are usually open for limited hours – dinner only – although many locations open their doors for weekend brunch. In the latter case, you have an extensive menu of several types of omelets, among other breakfast items. You may also find a few locations with a full lunch service with lunch-friendly items not typically offered for dinner. You will also love the ever-changing specials and the fully-stocked bar; the specials in the food and drinks menu changes every two months so there’s always something new to try.
